Mental Health

Mental health and well-being is an important focus for everyone at Coomb Briggs Primary Academy. We recognise that having positive mental health can have a positive impact for everyone within the school and community.

Here at Coomb Briggs we have a dedicated member of staff, Mrs Holdsworth, who is our designated mental health and well-being lead who works closely with Mrs Redmond and outside agencies.
On a day-to day basis we employ many different strategies to support and raise awareness of mental health and well-being as well as teaching mental health and well-being within our Health Education curriculum.

Alongside this, we work very closely with Compass-Go who provide support for children and their families through workshops, PODs and 1-1 sessions.

We have gathered a number of resources and support materials that you may find useful. Please see the resources tab. There are also some useful links if you need support for children’s and adults mental health and bereavement.

If you require any further information or would like to discuss any concerns, then please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Holdsworth.
