Donaldson Class - Reception

Amazing effort by parents and children for World Book Day 2024.

In Spring 2 the children have enjoyed exploring length and height in Maths. They have used plasticine and wool to explore length and compare it and have enjoyed drawing around each other to explore height and see who is the tallest in the class.

In PE this term we are doing gymnastics. We have been looking at jumping, balancing and rolling.

In Spring 1 the children delved into their topic ‘Our World Before’. During this topic we explored all things in the past and compared them to the present. We looked at:

Space and the first person to land on the moon.
Dinosaurs
Toys
Transport
Household items

The children really enjoyed this topic and asked lots of questions and learnt lots of new facts. To end the topic we visited Immingham museum to look at some household items from the past and we even got to have a go playing with some toys from the past.
